Akpé Motion, drawing on jazz rock and world music, pays a unique tribute to Miles Davis with percussionist and visual artist Pascal Bouterin, who is passionate
about playing drums using only brushes, alongside Nico Morelli, a virtuoso pianist regarded as one of Europe’s finest, and bassist
Didier Del Aguila, who brings his own distinctive style and experience of contemporary music, and finally trumpeter Alain Brunet, who has been deeply influenced
by one of the most innovative, influential and acclaimed figures in the history of jazz and all the genres born of jazz: Miles Davis in his
later years, when influences from rock, hip hop and other genres shaped his band’s sound. For this concert, Akpé Motion is joined by an
excellent American singer, Karla Harris from Atlanta, for whom this will be her first concert in France before she rejoins the band in the autumn when they will be
on tour in the USA.
