Water, a natural resource, plays a central role in ecological, economic and social balance. Without water, there can be no metabolism, growth or reproduction. Water is therefore the very foundation of all known forms of life. Unlike other resources, water is an unpredictable element and can be either too abundant or the cause of catastrophic droughts. This will be one of the topics I will address at the global level during the conference. However, I will also discuss how this issue is being tackled in this department. For information and bookings, call 04 68 87 50 10.
