Joana Santamans (born in Barcelona in 1977) spent her childhood climbing trees and playing dress-up. Later, she moved to the hectic pace of life in major metropolises such as London, New York and San Francisco. Positive and ambitious, her work offers a profound look at the natural world around us and at the female figure. She observes plants and animals with an almost naturalistic sensitivity. Joana shows great intuition in her choice of colours and compositions, particularly in her use of a variety of techniques. Her constantly evolving art is expressed in frescoes, gallery exhibitions, decorative objects and illustrations.
