"Symphony of nature under a white blanket
"Mists, Snow, Frost, Ice
Whatever the season, whatever the time of day, from sunrise to sunset, nature takes us on a journey into a fairytale world, a land of observation, a world of excellence, where it reinvents its own tempo.
Nature is a cultural heritage, offering us paths of discovery and a collective imagination. Photography fixes the memory of an era, unfortunately increasingly rare. Infinite spaces only serve to highlight Mother Nature, a refuge for flora and fauna alike. This biodiversity gives us an emotion that translates the love of living things. All this is the result of a series of circumstances. After moments of heavy snow, this theatre decorated by a multitude of interlocking white filaments is an air of life, a space in time. It's like being in the middle of nowhere.
Early in the morning, flooded with thick mists coating the landscape, snow, frost or ice in winter, our senses are ephemerally awakened, giving us a different image to that of other seasons. To immerse yourself in these intense moments is to experience the instantaneous in the ephemeral.
You are invited to see for yourself the result of the combined experience of nature and the know-how of the men and women who carry out their daily tasks, which vary according to climate, geology and soil structure (plains, plateaux, hills, habitat, sacred, etc.). It's an experience that unleashes the curiosity of the game to bring you closer together and get you involved. Unfortunately, global warming is making these magical moments increasingly rare.
Most of the photographs on display were taken in the Charentes region, around the town of Cognac, and in Floressas, my native village in the Lot department. Roger CANTAGREL Free admission
